Yoga for Weight Loss: The Deeper Truth Beyond the Misconception

Yoga for weight loss—one of the most widely accepted misconceptions, unless you approach it with the right perspective.

If you practice yogic exercises, postures, and breathwork, yes, it will reduce weight. Obviously, not alone—you also need to eat the right food in the right amount and try to be active throughout the day. Very true. But yoga has a bigger picture to it.

The Deeper Truth

Practicing real yoga will end the very reason why you want to lose weight.

For most people, it's because of insecurities—what society will think of them.

Practicing real yoga will end this—all of this won't matter to you anymore.

Being Overweight: A Different Perspective

Also, being overweight is not a problem unless you can play sports, run, swim, and do all daily chores without any problem. But this should not become an excuse to not exercise, as research has proven this fact: a person who is overweight and exercises will outlive the person who is not overweight but doesn't exercise.

What is Real Yoga?

And if you practice yogic exercises while being mindful, that means you are increasing your awareness. And if you use that awareness to be aware about yourself, your relationship with people and objects throughout the day, then this is real yoga—being aware 24x7 about yourself.

This will eventually end all your suffering.
